- The founnders: Pueri Cantores Mugombwa was founded by a Logazionist priest Arthur Mère from Italy where he was conducting his religious duties. He was the senior priest for Mugombwa Parish since 1983 till 2015.
- The main activities: Pueri Cantores Magi does many different religious activities including helping Christians to pray and praise God by singing in masses. They also do charity work, organize religious tours, participate in choirs’ competition at the Parish level and receive penitence every year. Moreover, they engage in profitable businesses, which earn the group revenues. The parents provide agricultural crops, which are given to vulnerable people and this is done every year. They participate in Umuganda ( Community Work) and they teach the young members about Dominic Xavio’s preaching. The majority of members in the group are students in primary and secondary schools. Based on the activities they do, they encourage other Christians in engage in charity work more often and teach their children about it so they can grow up with that culture as there are many vulnerable people all over the world who need help. This will help Pueri Cantores community to fulfill God’s will. Pueri Cantores Mugombwa has only attended 4 congregations at the national level and 1 in Belgium (1992) with the help of Brother Gaston who has been supporting the group a lot.
- Members: Pueri Cantores Mugombwa currently constitutes of 56 members and 38 have sworn in. Despite the Genocide consequences, which discouraged many young people, Pueri Cantores Mugombwa has 223 sworn-in members so far.
- Location: Pueri Cantores Mugombwa is located in Mugombwa Parish founded by Priest Arthur Mère, who has been the senior priest in this parish for long. . Butare Diocese is in the Southern Province and is headed by Bishop Philippe Rukamba, who grew up in Pueri Cantores Zaza. In this Diocese, there is the junior seminary of Karubanda and the senior seminary of Nyakibanda. It is also the first Diocese with many clergies and The University of Rwanda is found there, which is why a significant number of students/scholars attend masses there. Due to its beauty and remarkable achievements, many people travel to have retreats there especially in Monastere de Gihindamuyaga (Moine Benedictins). There is a distance of 8 km from Kigali to Mugombwa Parish.
