Pueri Cantores Muko

Birth date: Was born in 2014 and held the first swearing in ceremony on August15, 2016.
The founders: Pueri Cantores Muko was founded by Pueri Cantores Cathedral Ruhengeri with the support of Ruhengeri Cathedral Parish.
The main activities: The young singers do different activities including helping Christians to pray during mass celebrations and other Catholic feasts. They engage in charity work to support some of their vulnerable members mainly. Although it hasn’t been long since they were accepted by the national federation, they have done different activities already. For instance, they had retreats and are currently preparing for a religious tour and they usually do community work. They encourage all Christians to love the Catholic Church; the assembly of believers and this is a duty to every member of the community.

Members: Pueri Cantores Muko constitutes of 102 from all places within the parish and 72 had sworn in.

The location: Pueri Cantores Muko is in Muko Quasi-Parish of Ruhengeri Cathedral Parish is in Musanze Town; the second in Rwanda with many touristic places including Volcanoes National Park where animals like gorillas, elephants and buffaloes are found. This attracts tourists and they bring in foreign currencies. There is a distance of 102 km from Kigali to Musanze and 4km from Musanze to the volcanoes. Muko Quasi-parish is in 6 Km from Musanze. Muko Quasi-parish is close to the Military College; the only one in Rwanda.
